Hey, guys! I am Kane Esac. I am working for CIA (Criminal Investigation Agency). Recently I got a call from the police because of a case. So I had to go. I wasn’t that enthusiastic because I had to miss my reading time. I used to go every day for 1 hour to study in the library which was near the park.

The case’s house address was near by the library. When I went to that house, noticed that the library was closed. I asked the library security.

“Why the library is closed”.

He told that it will be closed for a week as the librarian went to Germany for a workshop.

Then I headed to that place. It was an apartment which had around 10 floors. I had to go to the 8th floor, 2nd house. The house wasn’t that big but it was organized.

I asked a lady who had large earrings,

“Hello Mrs. My name is Kane Esac. I was called here for a case.”

That lady’s eyes became red. She said,

“Hi, My name is Jenn. My gold earrings are stolen today.” ..

“Ok, Miss Jenn. Don’t worry. I will investigate and find the thief soon”

. “Now, tell me about the house and the earrings”

“This house is key activated. Unless you put the key lock, you can’t open the door nor can you switch on any devices. The earrings were too small to be noticed and on top of that I kept it behind my teddy bear.”

I saw some scratch marks on the keyhole. Then I took the key out. The room became pitch dark. Then I thought to myself, as long as we put the key, we can’t even see the thing and that to she put it behind a teddy. The criminal might be smart enough to open a door without a key (the scratch marks) but no criminal is too dumb to look behind a teddy and that too take only one pair of earrings.

Then I asked that lady,” Do your relatives come here often?”

“No, but day before yesterday I had a function in my house for celebrating my son’s birthday. That was the time I put the earring behind my teddy. I hope nobody saw it”

That’s it! It must be one of her relative.

“Do you have a spare key?”

“Yes, I left it in my grandma’s house”

“Who came from your Granma’s house to attend your function” I took my notepad and my pen and started listing

“My Grandma, Grandpa, my younger sister, my uncle and aunt and their daughter.”

“Can you take me to their house day after tomorrow?”

“Sure”

----2 days after----

I went to her grandma’s house. It wasn’t far. The house was big. I went inside. Everyone looked natural and nobody was suspicious. I started investigating everyone. You don’t to ask me about the Grandma and the Grandpa. Her uncle and his two daughters also were fine but the aunt and the younger sister didn’t seem that great.

AUNT:

“What were you doing two days before at 9:00 AM” I asked

“I was in my office. I am a software engineer”

“What do you think about Mrs Jenn?”

“Well, she is a bit of show off but she is quite nice. But once she mistakenly broke my gold chain and I feel angry for it till now.”

“Do you know where she had hidden her earring?”

“Yes, it was behind her teddy. That choice was actually good because no thief is too stupid to look behind a teddy bear”

YOUNGER SISTER:

“What do you think about Mrs Jenn?”

“She is such a show off!! I feel quite uneasy whenever she does that yet she is a good, helpful sister.”

“Do you know where the earrings are hidden?”

“Yes, it is behind the teddy, right? Even my aunt and her daughter saw”

“What were you doing 2 days before at 9 o’clock?”

“Um….. I was in the library which is next to the park, reading books. It is my hobby.”

Guys, with my above investigation, can you guess who is the thief?

-----at 9:30 PM-----
I was in my house and thinking who might be the thief. I was lying in my bed.

Suddenly, a thought struck in my head.

WAIT A MINUTE! WHAT DID SHE SAY? SHE’S GOT TO BE THE THIEF!

I was happy that I solved the case.

Do you still not know who is it?

-----Next day 12 o’ clock at the grandma’s house-----
I assembled everyone in Mrs Jenn’s grandma’s house and said,

“I had found out who the thief is. “

“Only the aunt, her daughter and Mrs Jenn’s younger sister knew where it was. So in all of you three, one person is the thief. The aunt’s daughter seemed fine but you two had strong grudge on her.

And know the thief isssssss…..

“The younger sister”

“Me?? Oh no! ” – younger sister

“Yes, Madam. You are the culprit. Don’t act now. “

“The Mrs Jenn’s room is key activated so no thief could be able to do it. Even If he/she had done it, no thief is too stupid to look behind a teddy. “

“The scratch marks on the keyhole was just for confusion. When I investigated you, you said you were in the library which was near the park. “

“Sorry to say miss, that library was closed on that day and will be remained closed for 5 more days. So you are the one told lie and you are the culprit”

(see the first part. Now did you get to know… )

“How dare you steal my precious earring” the Mrs Jenn interrupted me

“As if you hadn’t stole my toy car when you were small” the sister said, and was thinking of another excuse

“That’s a very lame excuse miss. Better luck next time”

Then after some time the police came and arrested her.

The Mrs Jenn thanked me.

“Well, now my case is over so. Will meet you all with another case soon….”
